DESCRIPTION / BACKGROUND
An excellent, mixed woodland, comprising a block extending to approximately 20-acres. The woodland is accessible and is situated close to the villages of Thornton-le-Dale and Wilton, on the edge of the North York Moors National Park.
Lot 2 forms the smaller parcel of woodland with varying species and yield class of timber with potential for immediate thinning. The woodland also offers exceptional biodiversity and carbon off setting with opportunities of this scale and quality of timber rarely brought to the market.
There is an active management plan in place with the last felling completed in January 2021 with areas re-stocked in March 2021. Thinnings were planned for 2022 but have not been completed to date providing an opportunity for immediate income.
The land is likely to appeal to those with forestry or environmental interests as well as investors.
The land comprises two main blocks, situated to the north of the village of Wilton and on the edge of the North York Moors National Park. The woodland is easily accessible and suitable for modern machinery.
